Would just like to thank my Dad for all he has done for me, your fab!! I hope you have all had a great day with your Dads and loved ones.
Right onto today. After two paper round I headed to make some marzipan scones (Miss Dobson if you are reading this I tried to bake something new, instead of normal scones.) They were lovely if I don't mind saying myself. Me and Mum made some sandwiches as well as scones and cake for Dad and Grandad for lunch, how thoughtful:)
I then went to Wills and had the best Sunday dinner I've ever had. Pigs in blankets, chicken and sausage meat, along with home made yorkshire pudding that weren't on my plate!
Sophie - I NEED the recipe for those scones NOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom the Be-Ro book: 8oz of self raising flower, pinch of salt, 2oz butter or margarine and 150ml milk. Mix flower and salt, then rub in fab, at the milk, leaving a little for brushing onto the top. Then I just cut up LITTLE pieces of marzipan and added it in, then knead lightly then put into scone shapes and put in oven for 10 to 15 mins at 200C fan, I think thats all!
DeleteThank you - my mum made a marzipan and apricot cake yesterday - I was wondering about how this combination would go in a scone? Well done for experimenting though.
